U17 National Team, coached by Hakan Tecimer, beat Northern Ireland in their third and last match of UEFA U17 European Championship Qualifying Round Group 9 which was held in Northern Ireland.

The match was played in Stangmore Park Stadium, Dungannon, Northern Ireland and Turkey grabbed the win by Enes Ünal's (Min. 53) and Hayrullah Alıcı's (Min. 66) goals.

In the day's other match of the group, Latvia beat Luxembourg 2-0.

After these results; Turkey finished the group in first place and qualify to Elite Round in the tournament which will be played in March 2014 while Latvia is the other Elite Round qualifier by finishing the group in second place.

The 52 associations participating in the qualifying round are drawn into 13 groups of four teams. Germany, best-ranked team, directly qualified for the elite round, the 13 group winners, the 13 runners-up and the best third-ranked team from the qualifying round play the elite round. A draw for the elite round is conducted to place the 28 participating associations into seven groups of four teams each. Seven group winners will join the hosts Malta in finals which is held in 2014.
