U17 Qualifying and Elite Round draws made

2011-12 UEFA European U17 Championship Elite Round, 2012-13 UEFA European U17 Championship Qualifying Round draws have been made in UEFA Headquarters, Nyon, Switzerland at today. TFF was represented by Metin Tunçer, TFF International Department Manager in these draws.

2011-12 UEFA European U17 Championship Elite Round Draw:

After the 2011-12 UEFA European U17 Championship Elite Round Draw, Turkey have been drawn with Germany, Portugal and Bulgaria in Group 4 and the group matches will be played the dates between 20-25 March 2012 in Germany.

In Elite Round, 28 teams are drawn into 7 groups of four teams and the seven group winners in that round will progress to the finals with the joining hosts Slovenia in the finals between 4-16 May 2012.

Turkey has reached to Elite Round by finishing Qualifying Round Group 3 in 2nd place between Scotland, FYROM and San Marino.

2012-13 UEFA European U17 Championship Qualifying Round Draw:


After the 2012-13 UEFA European U17 Championship Qualifying Round Draw, Turkey have been located in Group 12 alongside with Croatia, Kazakhstan and Israel. Qualifying Round Group 12 matches will be played in Croatia between 14-19 October 2012.

52 teams are drawn into 13 groups of four teams in Qualfying Round and The top two in each group along with the two third-placed teams with the best record against the leading pair will progress to the elite round which will be played in March 2013. In Elite Round, 28 teams are drawn into 7 groups of four teams and the seven group winners in that round will progress to the finals with the joining hosts Slovakia in the final tournament that May, which will also act as a qualifier for the FIFA U-17 World Cup, to be staged later that year in the United Arab Emirates.
