U19 National Team drew against Georgia 1-1 in their second match of 2011-12 UEFA U19 European Championship First Qualifying Round Group 9 which is held in Eskişehir, Turkey. The match was played in Eskişehir Atatürk Stadium and Turkey's goal came from Okan Derici (Min. 74) while, Davit Skhirtladze (Min. 60) scored fort he away side. Besides, Sefa Başıbüyük from Turkey was sent-off on 75th minute.

In the first qualifying round, 48 teams split into 12 groups in the draw and each group will be played as a one-venue mini-tournament. The top two in each group plus the third-placed team with the best record against the leading pair in their section joining the top three seeds in the elite round in spring 2012. While hosts Estonia have their finals place assured and top-ranked nations England, France and Spain receive byes to the elite round, the remaining entrants will compete to reach the second stage in autumn 2011. These 28 teams are drawn into 7 groups of four teams and the seven group winners in that round will progress to the finals with the joining hosts Estonia in the finals.
