U19 National Team defeated Luxembourg 3-0 in their first match of 2011-12 UEFA U19 European Championship First Qualifying Round Group 9 which is held in Eskişehir, Turkey. The match was played in Eskişehir Atatürk Stadium and Hakan Çalhanoğlu (Min. 17), Okay Yokuşlu (Min. 60) and İbrahim Yılmaz (Min. 73) hit the target for Turkey.

In the day's other match of the group, Georgia beat Poland 3-1.

U19s will face Georgia on 13 November 2011 Sunday in their second match of the group in Eskişehir Atatürk Stadium at 15.00 with Turkish local time.

In the first qualifying round, 48 teams split into 12 groups in the draw and each group will be played as a one-venue mini-tournament. The top two in each group plus the third-placed team with the best record against the leading pair in their section joining the top three seeds in the elite round in spring 2012. While hosts Estonia have their finals place assured and top-ranked nations England, France and Spain receive byes to the elite round, the remaining entrants will compete to reach the second stage in autumn 2011. These 28 teams are drawn into 7 groups of four teams and the seven group winners in that round will progress to the finals with the joining hosts Estonia in the finals.
