Turkey A National Team, coached by Guus Hiddink, beat Azerbaijan 1-0 in their tenth and the last match of EURO 2012 Qualifying Group A which was played in Türk Telekom Arena, İstanbul, Turkey. The only goal of the match came from Burak Yılmaz on 60th minute.

With this score, Turkey finished the group in 2nd place and qualified to the play-offs which will be played on 11/12 and 15 November 2011. Germany defeated Belgium 3-1 while, Austria drew 0-0 against Kazakhstan at away in the day's other matches of Group A.

At the end of EURO 2012 Group Qualification Round, the group winners who are Germany, Russia, Italy, France, Netherlands, Greece, England, Denmark and the best runner-up, Sweden, qualified to the EURO 2012 which will be held in Poland and Ukraine.

Besides, Turkey, Rep. of Ireland, Estonia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro and Czech Republic who are the other runners-up of the groups, have a right to join the play-offs which will bring EURO 2012 Finals ticket into 4 more teams. The play-offs draw will be held in Krakow, Poland on 13 October 2011 Thursday at 14.00 with Turkish local time.
