U17 Women's National Team lost to Serbia 4-3 in their first match of 2011-12 UEFA U17 Women's European Championship First Qualifying Round Group 7 which was played in Mirko Vucurevic Stadium, Banatski Dvor, Serbia. Ebru Topçu (Min. 11 and 68) and Eda Duran (Min. 74) hit the target for Turkey, while Serbia's goals came from Adrijana Delic (Min. 28), Jelena Cankovic (Min. 37) and Tijana Djordjevic (Min. 49 and 75).

In the day's other match of the group, Denmark beat Greece 6-0.

The 40 associations participating in the first qualifying round are drawn into10 groups of four teams. The two teams with a bye for the first qualifying round, the 10 group winners and the four best runners-up from the first qualifying round play the second qualifying round. A draw for the second qualifying round is conducted to place the 16 participating associations into four groups of four teams each. The UEFA administration establishes the draw procedure and communicates it prior to the draw. On completion of the second qualifying round, the four group winners qualify for the final round. The final round will take place in June 2012 at Colovray Stadium opposite UEFA's Swiss headquarters in Nyon.
